DJ: GoDeviLLe

René De Wever was already interested in culture at an early age, primarily in everything that has to do with film and music.

In his DJ sets, he incorporates more and more mini instruments and soundscapes, which eventually led to the creation of P@RTIY Liv€ during the Ghent Festival 2000 in the Baudelo Chapel. A collaboration between improvisers Filip Wauters (guitar), Bart Maris (trumpet) and Edward Capel (saxophone) who brought a new concept in which they mingled a concert with a party.

He already closed the forerunner of Gent Jazz at the Gravensteen. Him closing this festival edition in the gardens of De Bijloke will again result in a danceable mix of all the good, the old and the new authentic music can offer. In other words: healing and inspiring music for body and mind.
