General
Gent Jazz 2023 will once again take place at the Bijlokesite from July 5 through July 15, 2023. The entrace is situated at: Godshuizenlaan 2, 9000 Gent.
The first names have been announced. This first announcement will soon be completed with a lot of (inter)national established names, discoveries and local talent.
Opening hours vary by day and are listed when you select a specific date.
Timing is everything with music - arrive on time!
We recommend coming to the festival before your favorite artist's start time. Queues often form just before the concerts of the most popular artists and the concerts start on time. It would be a shame should you miss the beginning of the concert.Even with a fast car, it takes time to find a parking spot or walk from the public parking lots to the festival. Your navigation app doesn't think about that, but of course you do.
Are you early?
Our program team invited special discoveries for the first concerts of the day each time. So early birds get more music for their money.
Your ticket immediately becomes invalid after scanning. Therefore, you will be given a festival wristband to wear. This allows you unlimited access to and from the festival grounds that day. Keep this wristband on at all times and do not detach it. Without a valid and intact festival wristband you will not be allowed to enter the festival grounds or the concerts.
There are free restrooms, some of which are wheelchair accessible. Keep these facilities clean and be sure to speak to our staff if something is out of order. That way we will fix it quickly. Wild urinators can wait for their friends at the exit for the rest of the festival day.
There's a wide range of food & drinks on offer at Gent Jazz. Find out more here later!
If you carry a backpack, it may be checked. Weapons, drugs and dangerous items are obviously prohibited. Your own food or drinks are also not allowed (there is a fantastic selection on site!) with the exception of a reusable water bottle (no glass). Bring sunscreen or rain gear if necessary. The concert tent is covered but the side walls are open and most of the grounds are not covered. We are hoping for some Summer weather, of course, but you never know. We do our best to provide crystal clear sound at a pleasant volume but earplugs are of course available on site.
Only guidance dogs are allowed on the festival ground
