  • Where and when is Gent Jazz 2023?

Gent Jazz 2023 will once again take place at the Bijlokesite from July 5 through July 15, 2023. The entrace is situated at: Godshuizenlaan 2, 9000 Gent.

  • When will the lineup be announced?

The first names have been announced. This first announcement will soon be completed with a lot of (inter)national established names, discoveries and local talent.

  • What are the opening hours of the festival?

Opening hours vary by day and are listed when you select a specific date.

Timing is everything with music - arrive on time!
We recommend coming to the festival before your favorite artist's start time. Queues often form just before the concerts of the most popular artists and the concerts start on time. It would be a shame should you miss the beginning of the concert.

Even with a fast car, it takes time to find a parking spot or walk from the public parking lots to the festival. Your navigation app doesn't think about that, but of course you do.

    Are you early?

Our program team invited special discoveries for the first concerts of the day each time. So early birds get more music for their money.

  • Can you leave the festival and come back?

Your ticket immediately becomes invalid after scanning. Therefore, you will be given a festival wristband to wear. This allows you unlimited access to and from the festival grounds that day. Keep this wristband on at all times and do not detach it. Without a valid and intact festival wristband you will not be allowed to enter the festival grounds or the concerts.

  • Are there sanitation facilities?

There are free restrooms, some of which are wheelchair accessible. Keep these facilities clean and be sure to speak to our staff if something is out of order. That way we will fix it quickly. Wild urinators can wait for their friends at the exit for the rest of the festival day.

  • Food & drinks

There's a wide range of food & drinks on offer at Gent Jazz. Find out more here later!

  • What can you bring?

If you carry a backpack, it may be checked. Weapons, drugs and dangerous items are obviously prohibited. Your own food or drinks are also not allowed (there is a fantastic selection on site!) with the exception of a reusable water bottle (no glass). Bring sunscreen or rain gear if necessary. The concert tent is covered but the side walls are open and most of the grounds are not covered. We are hoping for some Summer weather, of course, but you never know. We do our best to provide crystal clear sound at a pleasant volume but earplugs are of course available on site.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Only guidance dogs are allowed on the festival ground

  • I can't find an answer for my question, what now?

You didn't find what you were looking for in our FAQ? Please contact us via info@gentjazz.com, we'll do our best to help you as quick as we can!

  • Do I need to buy tickets for my kids?

Children up to and including 3 years old can enter the festival for free, if they sit on your lap (when the concert is seated). For children over 3 years old, you need to buy a regular ticket via this link.

  • Do I get a discount with the UiTPAS?

Yes, with an UiTPAS Region Ghent with valid opportunity status, you get an 80% discount on the ticket price. You can purchase tickets via this link. After validation of your loyalty card number, you will be able to purchase tickets at a discount. The reduction is only valid for one ticket.

  • Vouchers

Do you have a voucher after Gent Jazz? Email us at info@gentjazz.be.

  • How much do tickets cost?

Ticket prices per day can be found here.

  • Are there multi-day passes available

There are no multi-day passes available for this edition of Gent Jazz, except for the concert days of Branford Marsalis Quartet/ Julian Lage Trio/ Lakecia Benjamin/ Lara Rosseel (14.07) and Herbie Hancock (15.07). Click here for info and tickets.

Did you already purchase day tickets for Branford Maralis Quartet but would prefer a combi-ticket? You can score a combi-ticket for both festival days via this link, as from tomorrow at 11AM CET. Your day tickets for the 14th of July will be refunded. Therefore we ask you to fill out the refund form via this link.

  • Festival Tickets

  • Tickets for people with reduced mobility

People with limited mobility must reserve their special tickets through this link. The platform is not only available for wheelchair users. People with mobility problems (due to disability or illness), people with dwarfism, the blind and visually impaired, ... are eligible for these tickets. Reservations can only be made if you can prove your disability with a European blue parking card or other official document.

  • Does your ticket give access to all concerts?

As the lucky owner of a Gent Jazz ticket, you have access to the entire audience area of the festival and all the concerts that day. Yes, that's a lot of music for one ticket, about five to eight hours of concert fun. So make sure you're well-rested and come as early as the first concert, that way you'll make the most of your ticket.
