Everything Is Recorded is the adventurous project of producer and XL Recordings boss Richard Russell. What started as a studio experiment grew into a collective in which Russell brings together such diverse artists as Sampha, Ibeyi and Damon Albarn in a melting pot of soul, electronica, jazz, hip-hop and dub, ideal for endless nights and road trips. On his latest album Temporary (2025), Russel explores themes of impermanence and loss with the likes of Bill Callahan, Florence Welch and Kamasi Washington. Live, this translates into incantatory sets with ever-changing line-ups where there is as much room for introspection as there is for celebration.
