Volunteers

  • How many days do I need to be available to volunteer at Gent Jazz?

To ensure smooth operations, we ask you to volunteer for at least 3 days. However, you can also sign up for the entire festival period!

  • How can I register as a volunteer at Gent Jazz?

Registrations for Gent Jazz are closed. Feel free to sign up on our reserve list to possibly still get a spot.

Are you already excited to join us in 2026 as a new volunteer*? Feel free to email us at [email protected] and we'll keep you posted as soon as registrations open!

*by this we mean new applicants who are not volunteering this year (2025). Anyone who is already scheduled this year will automatically be contacted for the 2026 edition.

  • Will I have the chance to attend a concert?

As a volunteer at Gent Jazz, you work at various locations on the site. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful music in the background during your shift. During your break, there is plenty of opportunity to attend part of a concert.

  • What do I get as a volunteer at Gent Jazz?

Our eternal gratitude! But we realize that is not enough, so we also provide the following: delicious catering, a nice daily allowance, a limited edition crew T-shirt, and some fun extras. Of course, you also have the chance to enjoy the most beautiful (jazz) concerts during your break (or from your post).

  • Can I volunteer in the same team with a friend/family member?

Yes, that is certainly possible! It is important to register at the same time for the same team. You will see that you can also add a note during registration. Be sure to mention the name of the person you want to be in the team with.

  • What is the minimum age to volunteer?

You can start volunteering as soon as you are 15 years old and have completed the first two years of secondary education! From the age of 16, volunteering is allowed in any case.

  • What tasks will I have to perform?

We work with different teams, each with their own tasks. Visitor reception, helping in crew catering, ensuring the site is tidy, etc., there is something for everyone. When registering, you can choose a specific team, and the tasks will be explained there as well.
