Amaea Rae
- Garden StageThursday 9•July•2026
17:35•
From understated to exuberant, yet always anchored in her unmistakable vocal talent, Amaea Rae is an artist in pursuit of freedom. Her voice delivers alternative soul, blending vulnerability with strength, weaving together elements of R&B, blues, and Afrobeat, with echoes of Etta James, Tony Allen, Kae Tempest, Dawuna, L’Rain, and Trixie Whitley. The result is a deeply organic sound, charged with a dynamic tension between introspection and emotion. Behind Amaea Rae is singer and multi-instrumentalist Rahmat Emonds. Born in Belgium with Ghanaian roots, she refined her craft while studying at BIMM London and PXL-Music. Previously performing with Vermin Twins, she has also built a strong stage presence in recent years alongside Stef Kamil Carlens.
