Bex is a young Brussels-based band founded and led by singer and producer Rebecca Driesmans. Together with her bandmates Louise van den Heuvel (electric bass) and Victor Khaddaj (drums, triggers, synth), she draws musical inspiration from artists like Canadian band Bernice, Knower vocalist Genevieve Artadi, and Erykah Badu.
In June 2024, they released their debut EP The Kitchen under the Polymoon label. The Kitchen tells personal stories and explores our coping mechanisms, often accompanied by a sense of shame. This darkness is balanced by embracing absurdity and warmth. Musically, Bex experiments with both intimate and maximalist atmospheres, with the music carried by her voice.
