Scottish pianist Fergus McCreadie links jazz with the typical folk music of his homeland but also uses the nature in which he grew up as a source of inspiration.' His music exudes open landscapes, sultry summer evenings but also unexpected rain showers. Along with David Bowden (bass) and Stephen Henderson (drums), his trio has developed to become a permanent feature in the contemporary jazz scene. 'Forest Floor’ (2022) won him a Mercury Prize nomination and the Scottish Album of the Year Award. On its successor 'Stream’ (2024), he gives his own lyrical style even more space to breathe and connects the flowing, layered nature of water to his unique soundscape. Live, he is sure to provide a stream of emotions.
