Isabelle Lewis does not exist. And yet she sounds like no one else. Behind the name are three artists: composer and producer Valgeir Sigurðsson (known for his collaborations with Björk, Feist and Anohni), countertenor and director Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, and Belgian violinist Elisabeth Klinck. The fictional persona of Isabelle Lewis serves as a vessel for their shared artistic vision, a shapeshifter with three distinct sonic dimensions somewhere between melancholy and modernity. Each track unfolds as a dynamic soundscape, revealing new layers and textures that invite deep listener engagement.

Isabelle Lewis' music defies any attempt to neatly define or contain it. Classical depth, refined electronic textures, and the enchanting operatic voice of Meirhaeghe intertwine, flowing together into something that stimulates the intellect while resonating on a deeply physical level. Their debut album Greetings was released in 2024 on the prestigious Icelandic label, Bedroom Community. Live, they are an otherworldly experience—intense, ritualistic, and unforgettable.
