Saxophonist Jeroen Van Herzeele and drummer Stéphane Galland have dedicated their entire lives to music. Jazz was part of their lives from a really early age and both demonstrated natural talent with their instruments. Van Herzeele was still very young when he had the opportunity to bring jazz standards to the stage through his father's musicianship, while Galland was given his first drum kit at the age of three and toured with international luminaries as a teenager. Van Herzeele proved to be a keen enthusiast, delving into everything from free jazz to gospel and finding his own sound on the saxophone; intimate, spiritual and instinctive, a sound in harmony with his soul. Galland found fame as one of the founding members of Aka Moon in the 1990s and is known as an immensely creative drummer who makes complex rhythms - picked up while travelling the world - seem natural.

The paths of the two musicians crossed many times along the way, in Greetings From Mercury, among others. With this duo, they open a new chapter in their (shared and personal) musical study of experiment and improvisation. Van Herzeele has expanded his instrument arsenal to include the EWI and modular synths, as he did with the eccentric power-trio Gratitude Trio. Together, the duo experiment with different settings, creating a dialogue of live improvised music in an interactive context, while searching for themes in the layered world of electro trance jazz.
