Joe Bonamassa

Getting to open up for blues legend B.B. King aged 12 raises the bar to very lofty heights afterwards. Nonetheless, Joe Bonamassa has managed to rise to the challenge time and again over the years. Sharing stages with rock and blues royalty such as Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker and Peter Frampton, releasing 40 albums - of which 15 have been solo studio albums - and occupying the top spot on the Billboard Blues chart no less than 25 times, more than anyone before him. He explored the world of soul with Beth Hart while going funky with his Rock Candy Funk Party project. Did we mention the fact that the American guitarist is only forty-five years of age?

Bonamassa released his latest album 'Time Clocks’ in 2021. It got him his third Grammy nomination but more than anything else, it demonstrated his aspiration to continue to develop and move forward as a guitar player and as a songwriter. Needless to say everything he does is rooted in the blues and his virtuoso guitar playing. On 'Time Clocks’ however, Bonamassa is heard adding a big dollop of raw rock, with an added emphasis on his vocal delivery and his authentic lyrics. The American himself calls it his 'rediscovery of blues rock’. Alongside these spirited rock songs, the guitar legend gets to draw from his extensive catalogue of classics and fan favourites. The evening will not be long enough.
