KAU is an instrumental project based in Brussels, consisting of a trio of musicians: André Breidlid on drums, Matteo Genovese on bass, and Jan Janzen on synths. With a pan-European identity, their music reflects the city that saw them grow: unapologetic and richly diverse. 

Friends since the age of 13 years and coming from a jazz background, they skillfully blend beats with juicy grooves creating an electrifying atmosphere. 

Since 2020 the group has constantly experimented and explored the boundaries of jazz, groove, and dance music, always searching for a unique sound. Their debut album "The Cycle Repeats” was released in September 2023 on Gent based record label "sdban” to critical acclaim. September 2024 will see the release of another single called "Mad KAU”. 

Even in their short career as a band KAU has already performed at some of the most prestigious venues in Belgium such as Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, De Roma in Antwerp opening for Alfa Mist, and De Centrale in Gent.
