Lézard
- Garden StageSaturday 13•July•2024
Lézard has one foot in the David Byrnian era and the other in the cold-blooded underground post-punk scene of the 1980s. It is usually the chameleon that changes colour rather than the lizard, but Lézard has turned these natural laws on their heads.
Front-man Neil Claes, accompanied by four dyed-in-the-wool musicians, offers a brightly coloured and multi-layered set at an increasing and decreasing pace, drawing on influences from XTC, Talking Heads and contemporary post-punk acts.
The geometric and dance-able sound of their music is supported by projections of digitally processed analogue images, providing a thunderous and energetic 'gesamtkunstwerk’.
