Orson Claeys is a 25-year-old musician from Ghent, Belgium. Claeys began playing classical piano at the age of 10. He decided to continue in this direction and went to art school to further pursue his passion. The ultimate eye-opener came at the age of 17 when Claeys encountered the work of legendary jazz and funk pianist Herbie Hancock. At the Royal Conservatory, under the guidance of acclaimed musicians such as Diederik Wissels and Nathalie Loriers, Claeys had the opportunity to immerse himself in his soul genre.

Orson Claeys combines jazz with oriental music and hip-hop. Weaving together different cultural influences and musical genres, he creates compositions that take the listener on a journey through a rich tapestry of sounds and emotions. Influenced by renowned musicians such as Aaron Parks, Brad Mehldau, Ambrose Akinmusire, Shai Maestro and Dhafer Youssef, Claeys is constantly searching for his own unique sound within contemporary jazz.

His project "Eastern Tales" invites audiences to join on a journey through Claeys' personal experiences, emotions and artistic identity, merging stories that transcend cultural boundaries and address universal themes.
