Brazilian musician and actor combines samba with modern, Brazilian pop.Brazilian musical powerhouse (and actor) Seu Jorge combines samba with modern Brazilian pop and single-handedly sparked a samba revival at the start of this century. Seu Jorge found international fame in 2004 thanks to his role in the cult film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, in which he sings various hits by David Bowie in Portuguese while accompanying himself on the acoustic guitar. Seu Jorge is influenced by Jorge Ben Jor, Gilberto Gil and Milton Nascimento, but also by Stevie Wonder. He’s one of the most popular Brazilian artists of the moment!
