Soulwax in 2025: a blistering clash of beats and guitars

The Dewaele brothers, three pounding drummers, and tightly programmed dance rock — that’s Soulwax in 2025 in a nutshell. A world apart from 2nd Handsome Blues, their debut released 30 years ago: raw guitars and desert rock inspired by Kyuss and Masters of Reality.

But that rock foundation never disappeared. On the now 20-year-old Nite Versions (2005), their two worlds truly collided for the first time: a remix album of Any Minute Now that perfectly balanced rock and electronica.

That’s when Soulwax really found its form. And now, we’re entering chapter seven.
