Get ready for a festive day with Snarky Puppy, DARKSIDE & Stavroz on 16 July
For our brand-new festival day on 16 July, we have the following in store for you: the iconic jazz fusion collective Snarky Puppy who will take you on an adventurous ride through funk, R&B, soul, jazz and rock. Electronic duo DARKSIDE (= Nicolas Jaar + Dave Harrington) plays a mix of classics and new material from their third album 'Nothing’. Belgian super band Stavroz is conquering the world's largest stages with hypnotic live shows, and promises a spectacular finale.
Tickets for the newly announced festival day on 16 July will be available from Friday 27 February at 10:00 via www.gentjazz.com.
On the Main Stage, you'll be able to check out brand new music by bass legend Stanley Clarke on Thursday 2 July, the fragile pop of Dressed Like Boys on Friday 3 July, the powerful disco-soul of the musical family Annie & The Caldwells on Tuesday 7 July, the visionary Shabaka returning to the saxophone with his latest release 'Of The Earth’ and the Brussels jazz quartet OLA TUNJI (winner of Gent Jazz Talent 2025!) on Friday 10 July, and both Selah Sue & The Gallands and Lady Linn and her Magnificent Seven with new work on Monday 13 July.
New names for the Garden Stage
The atmospheric Garden Stage welcomes four new additions to its line-up. On Friday 3 July, you’ll discover Lambert, the German pianist and composer. On Tuesday 7 July, Ugandan singer-songwriter Jon Muq takes to the stage with warm, soulful songs inspired by both African and Western traditions, reflecting on deeply relatable life perspectives.
American saxophonist and Grammy-winning producer Josh Johnson will be bringing his futuristic jazz sound to the Garden Stage on Friday 10 July. (Fun Fact: He’s also the drummer with Nate Smith that day.) A week later, on Friday 17 July, we welcome the Belgian-Albanian artpop sensation Gala Dragot, known for her collabs with The Subs on 'Teardrop’, and Zwangere Guy on the 'Putain’ soundtrack. She will soon be releasing her debut EP, complete with glitchy electronica for "girls who feel too much”.
